
Lucknow: A wave of grief has swept across the nation following the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash. Prominent leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
CM Yogi Expresses Condolences
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on social media platform X, describing the accident in Baramati, Pune, as extremely tragic and heartbreaking. He offered his humble condolences to the departed souls and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed souls and strength to their grieving families to bear this immense loss.

Akhilesh Yadav termed the incident “deeply saddening” and shared his condolences on X, praying for peace for Ajit Pawar’s soul and solace for the bereaved family.
Mayawati Mourns the Loss
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati described Ajit Pawar as one of Maharashtra’s senior political leaders and expressed profound grief over his demise. She termed the Baramati plane crash that claimed the life of the NCP leader as extremely unfortunate and extended her heartfelt sympathies to his family and party members.
Details of the Accident
According to officials, the plane carrying Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and four others crashed near Baramati in Pune district on Wednesday morning. All five onboard died instantly at the scene. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed the deaths of all passengers, including Ajit Pawar. The Deputy Chief Minister was traveling to Baramati to attend an election rally.
While the exact cause of the crash will be determined after investigation, preliminary reports suggest a possible technical fault. Poor weather conditions could also have contributed to the tragic accident.
