Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Decisions: ₹1,500 for ‘Ladli Behnas’, Bhavantar Payments to Farmers on November 13


Bhopal: In a major meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approved several key welfare decisions on Sunday. Among the biggest announcements, Ladli Behnas will now receive ₹1,500 per month starting this month, and farmers will get their Bhavantar payments credited on November 13.

Industries Minister Chaitanya Kashyap briefed the media about the cabinet resolutions. He said the state government will celebrate Birsa Munda Jayanti with great enthusiasm, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi participating virtually in the Jabalpur event. Kashyap added that under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, the model rate has been fixed at ₹4,036 per quintal, and the rates will now be updated daily based on market trends.

Key Announcements

  • Farmers: The Bhavantar payment will be directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts on November 13.
  • Judiciary: A Civil Court will be established at Mandhata in Khandwa district, creating seven new posts.
  • Omkareshwar Project: The Ekatma Dham Project has received tender approvals; the revised cost now stands at ₹2,424 crore, an increase of ₹228 crore.
  • Women Welfare: Over 1.26 crore Ladli Behnas across the state will receive ₹1,500 each month. So far, ₹44,000 crore has already been distributed under the scheme. CM Mohan Yadav will transfer the new installment from Seoni on November 12.
  • Renewable Energy: All government buildings will soon be equipped with solar power plants, beginning at the district headquarters with 20 kW units.
  • Sports Recognition: The state government has announced a ₹1 crore reward for women’s cricket player Kranti Gaur for her outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, CM Mohan Yadav will visit Kevadia, Gujarat, on Tuesday to attend a cultural event where 70 artists from Madhya Pradesh will perform, showcasing the state’s rich heritage.
