
Muzaffarpur, January 23, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived in Muzaffarpur on Friday as part of his ongoing ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity March). During the visit, the CM reviewed ongoing developmental projects in the district and inaugurated several new initiatives.
Accompanied by Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Ministers Vijay Chaudhary and Ramkripal Yadav, and other party leaders, Nitish Kumar inspected various development schemes and launched or laid the foundation for 172 projects worth ₹851 crore.
As part of his visit, the Chief Minister also interacted with ‘Jeevika Didis’ and toured stalls set up by self-help groups, highlighting the government’s focus on women’s empowerment and grassroots development.
The ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ aims to showcase Bihar’s developmental progress, evaluate ongoing projects, and launch new initiatives across sectors such as infrastructure, health, education, and rural livelihoods.
