Raipur: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly Elections sparked celebrations not only in Bihar but across states—especially in Chhattisgarh’s Manendragarh district, where the festivities took a lively and colourful turn.
State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal became the centre of attraction as he danced energetically with party workers to popular Bhojpuri songs, including “Lagave Tu Lipstick,” “Kamariya,” and “Husn Ke Darwaza Tod Ke.”
Fireworks, sweets, and high-energy dance
The celebration at Manendragarh’s Gandhi Chowk continued late into the night. BJP workers and local leaders gathered in large numbers, lighting fireworks, distributing sweets, and raising slogans as the atmosphere turned festive and electric.
The loud beats of dhol-nagara, bursts of crackers, and the minister’s spontaneous dance moves brought a wave of excitement among the crowd. Party workers joined in, dancing alongside the minister and cheering him on.
“Victory of people’s trust,” says Minister
Minister Jaiswal attributed the NDA’s decisive win to the people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“This victory reflects the trust of the people. With the double-engine government, Bihar will now witness rapid development,” he said during the celebration.
Workers praise the Minister’s simplicity
Local BJP workers said the Bihar victory had created a festival-like atmosphere in Manendragarh as well. Many praised Minister Jaiswal’s humble attitude and approachable nature, saying his participation in the celebrations boosted the morale of party workers.
BJP dominates the Bihar polls
The results of the Bihar Assembly Elections were announced on Friday. The NDA secured a landslide victory with 202 seats, out of which the BJP alone won 89 seats, emerging as the largest party in the state.
