Celebrating the BJP’s sweeping victory in the Maharashtra civic elections, Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut expressed her delight and took a dig at the Thackeray family for losing control after 28 years.

Kangana References Bulldozer Action on Her Home

Speaking to NDTV, Kangana recalled the incident in 2020 when her Bandra West bungalow was demolished by the BMC during the Shiv Sena government under Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Reflecting on the recent election results, she said, “Those who insulted me, demolished my home, and threatened me to leave Maharashtra have now been rejected by the people of Maharashtra.”

Praise for BJP’s Win

The actress-politician expressed happiness at the BJP emerging as the largest party in BMC, congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. She added, “I am pleased that the people have shown the right place to those who are anti-women, threatening, and practice nepotism.”

BJP’s Dominance in BMC Elections

In the BMC elections, the BJP won 89 seats, securing 11,79,273 votes, accounting for 21.58% of the total votes cast.
