Jaipur: Following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Rajasthan, the first draft of the 2026 voter list is set to be released. During the revision drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visited households across the state to collect and verify voter documents. As a result, of the 5.46 crore registered voters, around 42 lakh names are expected to be removed from the draft list. Notices will be issued to individuals whose names have been omitted.
For eligible voters whose names are missing, Form 6 provides a mechanism to get their names included in the electoral roll.
What is Form 6?
Form 6 is a four-page application issued by the Election Department that allows any eligible voter to request inclusion in the voter list. Applicants must affix their photograph and provide complete information in the form. They must also declare that their name is not already present in any other voter list.
Who Can Apply and What Documents Are Needed?
- Only individuals 18 years or older are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must submit a birth certificate issued by the local authority. If unavailable, proof of relationship with a family member already on the voter list can be provided along with a declaration.
- Additionally, applicants must attach a copy of one valid identity document, such as:
- Ration card
- Bank passbook
- Kisan Credit Card
- Passport
- Driving license
- Post office-issued passbook
- Electricity or gas connection
Why Names Were Removed in SIR
Most names removed during SIR belonged to voters who had passed away or whose names appeared in multiple constituencies. Other reasons include relocation, migration, or absence of proper documentation. Special provisions will be made by the Election Department to include nomadic communities in the voter list.
Eligible voters can submit Form 6 to their District Election Officer’s office or online through the official ECI portals to ensure their names are correctly included in the final voter list.
