Devghar, Jharkhand: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey from Godda has raised concerns over the financial management of the Jharkhand government, claiming that the state’s flagship Manaiya Samman scheme is causing a slowdown in development work. Speaking to reporters at Devghar Airport, Dubey sarcastically remarked that the state’s finances are so strained that even Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s salary could face delays, and the scheme itself might be abruptly halted after March.
The MP pointed out that the Jharkhand government has requested ₹1.36 lakh crore in pending funds from the central government, but the state’s own financial situation remains precarious. “Many schemes are being announced based on the expectation of receiving central funds, yet the economic reality is concerning,” he said.
Development Across All Sections of Society
On the UGC issue, Dubey emphasized that the matter is currently under consideration in the Supreme Court, and a stay has been imposed. He appealed to protesters to trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting that BJP policies focus on the development of all sections of society.
Welcoming Supreme Court’s Verdict on UGC
Dubey welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision on the UGC matter, stating, “This country runs on the Constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar, and we are working under a Prime Minister who believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all). I do not need anyone’s certificate to confirm this. The Court’s observations align with the principles I have long supported. The nation has progressed, and we welcome the Supreme Court’s guidance. The Prime Minister has ensured justice for everyone.”
