Father Turns Killer: BJP Leader Murdered Over Illicit Relationship, ₹5 Lakh Contract Killing Exposed in Mandsaur

Mandsaur: In a shocking revelation, police have solved the murder case of BJP leader Shyamlal Dhakad in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district, uncovering that the prime conspirator behind the crime was none other than his own father. The murder, carried out on 18 July in the Nahargarh area, was allegedly orchestrated over fears related to property transfer stemming from the victim’s illicit relationship.

According to police, Shyamlal’s father Daulatraram suspected that his son was planning to transfer his land and property in the name of a woman from the village with whom he was in a relationship. Driven by this fear, Daulatraram allegedly hired contract killers and paid ₹5 lakh to have his own son eliminated.

Brutal Murder While Asleep
The crime came to light when Kanwarlal (55), a resident of Hingoriabad, informed police that Shyamlal’s blood-soaked body was found lying on a cot in an upstairs room of his house. When police reached the spot, they found multiple deep wounds on the victim’s head, neck, and the left side near the ear.

Investigations revealed that Shyamlal was attacked while asleep and was repeatedly assaulted with sharp-edged weapons. A post-mortem examination confirmed that the injuries were fatal, following which a murder case was registered and a detailed investigation launched.

Illicit Relationship Led to Conspiracy
During the probe, police discovered that Shyamlal had been in a relationship with a woman from his village. This reportedly caused severe anxiety for his father, who feared losing family property. Investigators said this concern ultimately led Daulatraram to plan the murder.

Contract Killers Arrested
Police stated that Daulatraram hired Gopal Dhakad, Ranglal Bachhada, Sumit Bachhada, and Atlu Bachhada to carry out the killing. On the night of 17 July, the accused allegedly entered Shyamlal’s room and attacked him with an axe and a knife, killing him on the spot.

All accused have been arrested, and further interrogation is underway. Police officials said the case stands as a grim reminder of how greed and suspicion can lead to horrific crimes within families.
