Diya Kumari Holds Up a ‘Mirror’ to Congress in Assembly: “Your Development Was Only on Paper, Ours Is Backed by Data”

Jaipur: In a fiery session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, asserting that the public has not forgotten the previous government’s “deceptions and betrayals.” While presenting detailed development statistics of her administration, Diya Kumari’s statements sent the opposition reeling and ignited a heated debate in the House.

“The public hasn’t forgotten the last betrayal”
Diya Kumari criticized the former Congress government, saying that for five years, Rajasthan’s citizens were subjected to nothing but empty promises and political gimmicks. Speaking in a firm tone, she said:
“Under the previous government, development existed only in the form of populist announcements. On the ground, there was no trace of it. Those who built castles on paper are now questioning us, yet the people of the state haven’t forgotten the deception.”

Backed by data, opposition on the backfoot
As Diya Kumari presented concrete facts and figures of her government’s development projects, Congress legislators erupted in protests. Addressing the disruptions, she remarked:
“Today, when we are speaking the truth and providing accountability, all the opposition has left is noise. The people will no longer fall for your web of illusions. They can see who misled for power and who is genuinely working.”

Commitment to accountability and development
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that her administration is committed to transparency, accountability, and tangible progress. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra, she added:
“We remain steadfast in our resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.” Her speech concluded with the Assembly resonating with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Vande Mataram” from ruling party members.
