Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh:
During a program in Khurja, preacher Devkinandan Thakur sharply criticized AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s recent statement suggesting that a burqa-clad woman could become India’s Prime Minister. Thakur countered by saying that their vision is for a day when a “tilak-wearing and saffron-clad” leadership would govern in Bangladesh and Pakistan. His remarks highlight ongoing concerns over the treatment of minorities in neighboring countries, particularly Hindus.
Participation in Meera Charitra Katha
Thakur was attending the ongoing Meera Charitra Katha at the Sharda Jain Guest House in Khurja. Speaking at the Kunj Bihari Seva Parikaar event, he emphasized the need for societal conscience and self-respect, stating, “If our people die and our sisters and daughters are dishonored, yet our conscience does not awaken, how can we call ourselves good human beings?”
He criticized those who awaken their own communities while allowing others to suffer, highlighting the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh. Thakur urged people to take a firm stand to protect their society, stating that only with such resolve can progress and survival be ensured.
Citing Lord Krishna as Example
Thakur invoked Lord Krishna, saying, “The Lord plays the flute but also wields the Sudarshan Chakra. While preaching is my duty, witnessing the suffering of society shakes my heart. Opposition to injustice is necessary.” He shared an example of a Sanatani youth being stopped from wearing a tilak at a university, questioning such “equality” and asserting that true equality means, “If there is no tilak on my head, there should be no cap on yours.”
He stressed that gods incarnate in various forms to protect dharma and urged support for Sanatan Dharma. Thakur expressed confidence that the construction of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir would succeed, citing the survival of Somnath Temple and the Ram Temple as examples. He called for immediate efforts to safeguard Hindu society and protect the honor of daughters and sisters.
