New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Special Cell has apprehended Moine Qureshi, accused of murdering Faizan, also known as Fajzi (24), in a café in Maujpur. The accused had shockingly posted a video of the murder confession on Instagram. During the encounter, the suspect was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police have initiated proceedings to register cases under relevant sections, including attempted murder.

According to police sources, early this morning, the Special Cell received intelligence that the accused would be near Timarpur. A team was deployed to conduct a raid and set up a trap in the area. Instead of surrendering, the accused opened fire on the police team. In the ensuing exchange, he was shot in the leg and subsequently apprehended. Police officials announced that a press briefing regarding the case will be held at 1 PM today.
Murder Motivated by Revenge
The accused allegedly committed the murder on the night of January 23 at the café and posted a video on Instagram claiming responsibility. Reports indicate that the victim, Faizan, had previously slapped the accused several years ago. Moine Qureshi admitted that the murder was carried out as an act of revenge. Authorities confirmed that the act was personal, with no involvement of the victim’s family or friends.
