Jaipur:
Following Congress candidate Pramod Jain ‘Bhaya’’s sweeping victory in the Anta Assembly bypoll, Rajasthan PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara expressed heartfelt gratitude to the voters, party leaders, and workers.
He said the mandate clearly reflects the people’s rejection of BJP’s “misrule” and their renewed trust in Congress’ welfare-driven governance model.
“Mandate Against BJP’s Misgovernance” – Dotasara
Dotasara said the Anta by-election was not just a contest for one seat, but a prelude to the 2028 Assembly elections.
According to him, voters rejected what he termed the BJP’s “slip-based government”—a reference to alleged interference from the Centre—and instead supported Congress’ policies and welfare schemes initiated during the party’s tenure.
He accused the BJP of running the state administration through directives and external influence, which, he said, stalled development activities across Rajasthan.

Congress Targets ‘Gujarat Model’ and Corruption Allegations
Intensifying his attack, Dotasara alleged that under the BJP regime, outside contractors and businessmen were being favoured under the so-called ‘Gujarat Model’, allowing them to acquire government contracts and business opportunities at throwaway prices.
He accused BJP-linked individuals of acting as middlemen and engaging in corruption.
According to him, the people of Anta recognized this pattern and voted against the BJP’s “corrupt practices.”
Organisational Unity and Discipline Delivered Victory
Dotasara said the BJP deployed the entire administrative machinery, money power, and top leadership to influence the election.
Despite this, the Congress cadre maintained discipline and campaigned peacefully, resulting in a massive victory margin.
“Congress Will Continue Serving the People”
He assured that the Congress remains committed to public welfare.
Party leaders and workers, he said, will continue standing with the people in every situation.
He added that the voters of Anta have clearly sent a message that the Congress’ policies and vision enjoy growing public confidence in Rajasthan.
