Clash Over SIR in Bengal: Yogi’s Minister Dharmapal Singh Blasts Mamata, Calls Out Anarchy

Unnao:
Unnao’s in-charge minister Dharmapal Singh has sharply criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that the ongoing anarchy in the state is sponsored by her. Singh specifically highlighted incidents where SIR employees were allegedly assaulted by her supporters, calling the situation in Bengal alarming.

Speaking to the media, Singh said, “West Bengal is witnessing chaos instigated directly by Mamata Banerjee. Her goons are harassing and physically assaulting the SIR employees executing their duties. India will continue to function according to the Constitution framed by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, and the SIR process underway in Bengal will definitely be implemented.”

He further drew comparisons with Bihar, stating that while 65 lakh votes were allegedly tampered with there, in Bengal, the figure could reach millions, underscoring the scale of disorder.

Sakshi Maharaj Takes a Dig at Congress

Accompanying Singh, MP Sakshi Maharaj targeted Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Congress will never return to power in India. Rahul Gandhi will not become Prime Minister in this lifetime—or any other. The country’s political landscape has completely changed, and people have rejected Congress’s ideology.”

Background: The controversy stems from the SIR process being implemented in Bengal, which the opposition claims is being obstructed through violence and intimidation. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
