Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh: In a heartwarming display of civic engagement, children in Madhi village of Ashoknagar district halted Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s convoy on Tuesday to demand a proper playground. The incident occurred during the CM’s visit to the village, where he had meetings with local villagers, the Panchayat, and the Sarpanch.
When approached, the children explained that the area near the village helipad, which was previously their playground, had now been encroached upon, leaving them with no space to play cricket. They even expressed frustration that their local MLA did not listen to their requests. Smiling, the Chief Minister gently advised the children not to speak harshly and reassured them by patting them on the head.
CM Yadav immediately instructed officials to construct a new playground. “We will ensure that the children have a proper space to play,” he said. Responding to the children’s request for a stadium, the CM humorously added that while it may not be possible to build a stadium in every village, the playground will definitely be created.
The prompt action by the Chief Minister has been appreciated by villagers and highlighted the importance of listening to children’s voices in local governance.
