Bulandshahr: Creta Car Crashes into Truck After Breaking Divider on Meerut Highway, Three Killed Including BJP MLC’s Nephew

Bulandshahr: A tragic road accident occurred late Monday night on the Meerut–Bulandshahr National Highway, claiming the lives of three people. A Hyundai Creta car lost control, broke through the road divider, and collided head-on with an oncoming truck near Chidawak village under the Gulawathi police station area.

Among the deceased was Ankit Tyagi, nephew of BJP MLC Ashwini Tyagi and son of Sanjay Tyagi, the State Vice President of the BJP Kisan Morcha. The accident reportedly took place when the car became uncontrollable, struck the divider, and entered the wrong lane, where it was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction.

According to the police, the victims have been identified as:

  • Ashutosh Poonia (35), son of C.M. Singh Poonia, resident of Dalampur, Sardhana, Meerut
  • Ankit Tyagi (37), son of Sanjay Tyagi, resident of Dalampur, Sardhana, Meerut
  • Mahesh Kumar (55), son of Ranveer, resident of Jasnawali Khurd, Kotwali Dehat, Bulandshahr

All three were traveling in the Creta car at the time of the accident.

On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and took the bodies into custody for post-mortem examination. Senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police, visited the accident site to assess the situation.

SP City Shankar Prasad stated that the damaged vehicles were removed from the highway and traffic was restored smoothly. The families of the deceased have been informed about the incident.

The incident has sent a wave of shock through the local community, and further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
