Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh: Tragedy struck the Rawat family on Friday morning when Mithilesh Rawat, younger brother of BJP MLA Dinesh Rawat from Haidergarh constituency, died in a severe road accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway near Saifai.
Accident Details
According to local reports, the incident occurred around 5:30 AM while Mithilesh was returning home from a visit to a religious site with his father. A fast-moving DCM truck collided with their car, causing a devastating impact that left the vehicle completely wrecked. The accident claimed the life of Mithilesh Rawat, aged 35, instantly.
Family Background
Mithilesh Rawat, the second of three brothers, was actively involved in both the family brick kiln business and regional politics. His elder brother, Dinesh Rawat, has been the MLA since 2022, while his wife, Aarti Rawat, serves as Block Pramukh of Siddhaur. Mithilesh had also been preparing for the upcoming Gram Pradhan elections, engaging actively with local residents.
Condolences Pour In
News of Mithilesh’s untimely death sparked widespread grief. Leaders including State Minister Satish Chandra Sharma, BJP district officials, and several politicians expressed their condolences on social media, mourning the loss and praying for strength for the bereaved family.
The family, along with MLA Dinesh Rawat, conducted the post-mortem of the deceased, while local authorities have launched an investigation into the accident.
