Brijbhushan Sharan Singh Praises Owaisi, Calls Him Straightforward Leader Despite Religion

Gonda, Uttar Pradesh: Former BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has publicly praised AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for his straightforward approach in politics, saying he respects Owaisi as a leader despite differences in religion. Singh expressed satisfaction over Owaisi’s party winning five seats in the recent Bihar assembly elections.

“Owaisi is a Straightforward, Hereditary Leader”

During an interaction with a YouTuber, Singh said, “Asaduddin Owaisi fought the Bihar elections directly. He criticized both the BJP alliance and Lalu’s party openly. At least he speaks straight. I am happy that his party succeeded in the elections. Media now calls him BJP’s ‘B-team,’ but they will soon call Mayawati the same. Owaisi is a hereditary leader. His only ‘crime’ is that he is a Muslim.”

Bihar Election Success

In the recent Bihar assembly elections, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) contested 25 seats and won five: Jokihat, Bahadurganj, Kochadhaman, Amour, and Baisi—all in the Muslim-dominated Seemanchal region.

Interestingly, AIMIM had also won five seats in the 2020 Bihar elections. However, four of those MLAs later left Owaisi’s party to join the RJD.
