BJP’s Dinesh Sharma Launches Sharp Attack on Congress, Slams Gandhi Family’s Dominance

Lucknow: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Sharma, on Sunday delivered a scathing critique of the Congress Party, targeting the Gandhi family’s continued dominance in the party. Sharma claimed that as long as the Gandhis remain politically active, Congress’s future remains bleak.

Cycle of Power Concentrated Within Three Family Members
Sharma accused the party of being trapped in a “cycle of power and responsibility” concentrated among just three members of the Gandhi family. He explained, “Whenever one leader fails, another is brought forward. If the second also falters, a third steps in. This cycle within the family dominates all key positions and responsibilities.” He added that Congress has now been reduced from a national party to effectively a regional entity.

Internal Matters and Leadership Failures
While acknowledging that these issues are technically internal matters of Congress, Sharma stressed that the party’s inability to develop leadership outside the Gandhi family is a serious concern. “All ideas and decision-making seem confined to the family. This limits the party’s growth and effectiveness,” he said.

Comments on Bangladesh Situation
In addition to his remarks on Congress, Sharma also addressed the ongoing situation in Bangladesh. He said, “The atrocities taking place there are condemnable. No one can endorse such acts. The people of Bangladesh must rise to ensure justice. The Indian government is closely monitoring the developments and remains fully aware of the incidents.”

Conclusion
Sharma’s remarks highlight BJP’s continued criticism of Congress’s leadership structure while also reflecting the party’s stance on regional and international human rights issues.
