BJP MP Arun Govil Hits Back at Opposition Over Budget Criticism

Meerut: Following the presentation of the Union Budget 2026-27 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 2, the opposition described it as disappointing. However, BJP MP Arun Govil struck back, saying that opposing everything is the opposition’s only strategy.

Speaking to the media, Govil said, “Their work is just to oppose everything. That is their strategy, their politics—nothing more.”

The budget has elicited widespread reactions across the country, from industry leaders to the general public.
