BJP MLA Urges Jyotiraditya Scindia to Follow Kamal Nath’s Example, Requests New Train for Ashoknagar

During his visit to Ashoknagar district, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was urged by BJP MLA Jagnnath Raghuwanshi to facilitate the launch of a new train for the constituency, drawing a comparison to a similar initiative by former Congress Chief Minister Kamal Nath.

Praise for Political Opponent
Scindia was attending a program for the distribution of assistive devices for differently-abled individuals when MLA Raghuwanshi unexpectedly lauded Kamal Nath on stage. He highlighted that the former CM had initiated a train service, the Patalakot Express, running from Chhindwara to Delhi, benefiting residents of his constituency.

Heartfelt Request to Scindia
Addressing Scindia with folded hands, Raghuwanshi said, “Maharaj, on behalf of the people of Ashoknagar, I earnestly request you to arrange a train to Delhi from Ashoknagar via Guna and Shivpuri. This would be a great boon for our region.” He further added that just as Scindia was showing compassion by serving the elderly and differently-abled, fulfilling this request would similarly benefit the constituency.

Distribution of Assistive Devices
During the program, Scindia oversaw the distribution of 5,172 assistive devices, including tricycles, electric vehicles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs, to 1,456 differently-abled and elderly individuals, amounting to a total value of ₹1.61 crore. The minister did not publicly respond to the MLA’s train request.
