
BJP legislator Bhawna Bohra from Pandaria has once again made headlines for her social initiatives. Recently, she facilitated the return of 125 Hindus from 41 families who had converted to other religions, during a ceremony held in Kabirdham district. On the occasion, Bohra personally welcomed the returning families.
Who is Bhawna Bohra?
Bhawna Bohra represents the Pandaria Assembly constituency in Kabirdham. She contested her first election in 2023 on a BJP ticket and won. Actively engaged in social work, she has been working to bring back people who had converted in the predominantly tribal areas of her constituency.

According to her 2023 election affidavit, Bohra owns assets worth over ₹33 crore, along with liabilities exceeding ₹6 crore. She also manages a school and runs a social organization through which she undertakes various community initiatives.
Before becoming an MLA, Bohra served as the Chairperson of the Kabirdham District Panchayat. Born in Ranveer village, Kawardha district, she is married to businessman Manish Bohra. She also runs a free ambulance service in the district, further strengthening her public welfare efforts.
Mission of Homecoming
MLA Bhawna Bohra has made the return of converted Hindus a key mission. She stated, “A large number of people are coming back voluntarily. Our campaign will continue until everyone understands that greed has led us away from our culture and heritage. How can we teach our children about their traditions if we ourselves abandon them?”
Her efforts have sparked wide discussion, highlighting her influence both as a wealthy legislator and a socially active leader committed to cultural restoration.
