BJP Leader Assaults Youth in Ashoknagar; Congress Demands Strict Action

Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh: A shocking incident of alleged assault by a BJP leader has come to light in Barera village of Chanderi constituency, Ashoknagar. A video circulating on social media shows BJP leader Bali Singh brutally attacking a local youth, identified as Brijkishore, by throwing him to the ground and repeatedly beating him with punches and kicks. The assault reportedly took place behind a roadside dhaba.

The victim has filed a formal complaint at the local police station. Authorities have registered an FIR against the BJP leader, and an investigation is underway. The video, which has gone viral on social media, also reportedly shows the village sarpanch participating in the attack. Due to its graphic nature, authorities and media outlets have refrained from sharing explicit clips.

The incident has quickly sparked political controversy. The Congress party has condemned the act, accusing the BJP of misusing power and demanding strict action against the perpetrators. Former Pradesh Mahasachiv Ashok Sharma criticized the party, saying BJP leaders are abusing their position and resorting to violence against citizens.

It is noteworthy that BJP leader Bali Singh had previously been involved in a controversy when a video with former Congress MLA Gopal Singh Chauhan went viral. In that footage, Chauhan made remarks about the Yadav community late at night, which led to political uproar and an FIR against the Congress leader.

The current video adds to ongoing concerns about political intimidation and misuse of authority in the region, raising demands for accountability and justice for the victim.
