Patna/Varanasi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up to reach out to the grassroots with a refreshed approach as it launches the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Campaign in Bihar. The initiative, conceived in Varanasi, aims to strengthen party ideology and operational skills while equipping leaders with a ‘winning mantra’ ahead of upcoming political challenges.
BJP’s ‘New Look’ in Bihar
The Bihar unit of BJP intends to present itself in a renewed avatar, focusing on a deeper engagement with citizens. Termed a step toward “pure saffronisation,” the training campaign seeks to impart new political lessons and strengthen the party’s presence at every organizational level. Leaders from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand attended the Varanasi program, pledging to expand the campaign within their respective states.
60 Leaders Receive Training
Around 60 prominent BJP leaders from Bihar—including current and former legislators and senior organizational members—participated in the training. Speakers discussed the party’s historical journey, from a two-MP outfit to a parliamentary force with over 200 MPs, while highlighting strategies for propagating BJP’s ideology and work ethic among the public.
Focus on Ideology and Organizational Outreach
The campaign emphasizes taking the party’s ideology, leadership capacity, and development work to the grassroots, covering state, district, block, and booth levels. Each region has been tasked with devising programs to ensure that the party’s strategy reaches every mandal and booth effectively.
Program Dates and Structure
The Din Dayal Upadhyay Training Campaign in Bihar is scheduled to run from 7 March to 14 April 2026. State presidents were instructed to prepare their respective training schedules before 7 March. The program will cover district, block, and booth levels, providing activists with detailed knowledge in areas including:
- Party history and evolution
- Theoretical foundations and human-centric philosophy
- Cultural nationalism and the “Five Principles”
- Worker development and political-social outreach
- Governance and welfare schemes for the poor
- Challenges facing the nation
Through this structured training, the BJP leadership aims to emerge stronger and more organized in the upcoming political landscape, presenting a rejuvenated and assertive image to its opponents.
