Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha Thanks Public, Targets Opposition After Election Results

Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed his gratitude to the people of the state following the 2025 Assembly elections, asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form the government with a decisive majority. He emphasized that the electorate has once again placed its trust in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, valuing his experience, dedication to development, and commitment to a corruption-free administration.

Strong Message to Opposition

Deputy CM Sinha launched a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, criticizing their “grand promises” and what he called “empty rhetoric.” He claimed that the youth leaders of both parties, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, were taught a lesson by Bihar’s voters.

He added that the opposition, frustrated by their defeat, had resorted to blaming the Election Commission and EVMs rather than accepting the results. With a hint of sarcasm, Sinha said that leaders indulging in overseas birthday celebrations—referred to by him as “Apu and Pappu”—would now head to Delhi or abroad, losing all connection with Bihar after the election outcome.

Record Voter Turnout

Sinha hailed the increase in voter turnout as a triumph of democracy. The turnout rose from 57% in 2020 to approximately 67% in 2025, reflecting a 10% increase, with notable participation by women voters. He described this faith of Bihar’s electorate as a model for the entire country.

Concern Over Delhi Bomb Blast

Addressing the recent Delhi bomb blast, Deputy CM Sinha expressed concern over educated individuals turning into enablers of terrorism. He assured that the government remains vigilant against terrorism, extremism, crime, and corruption, and urged the opposition to act responsibly on sensitive issues and stand with the nation.
