Bhadohi: Case Filed Against Former MLA Vijay Mishra’s Nephew for Alleged Falsification of Birth Date to Obtain Gun Licenses

Bhadohi: The troubles of former MLA Vijay Mishra in the Yogi Adityanath government appear far from over, as a new case now involves his close family member. Bhadohi police have registered a case against Ashish Mishra, nephew of the former legislator, on serious allegations of falsifying his date of birth using forged documents to obtain two gun licenses.

Details of the Case
According to police, Ashish Mishra, son of Ramji Mishra and resident of 14A/1/32 Baghambari Housing Scheme, Allapur, Prayagraj, has been booked at Gopiganj police station. Police allege that Ashish, described as a “fraudulent and criminally inclined individual,” manipulated official documents to conceal his actual age. Using these fabricated documents, he allegedly secured approval for two gun licenses.

Investigations revealed discrepancies in Ashish Mishra’s educational records and other certificates, with the dates of birth noted on these documents conflicting with factual records. Police claim that he deliberately prepared false birth dates to mislead authorities and circumvent regulations, successfully obtaining multiple licenses. The case raises not only concerns of document fraud but also serious public safety questions.

Investigation Underway
Authorities are conducting a detailed investigation, including examining whether any lapses or complicity occurred during the gun license approval process.

Former MLA Vijay Mishra, already facing multiple legal cases, now finds his nephew’s alleged misconduct adding to the political and administrative attention surrounding the family.
