Following the meeting, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and National Security Guard (NSG) have been fully activated. A multi-agency probe has been launched to trace the mastermind behind the explosion. High-security alerts have been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.

Home Minister’s Immediate Response

The blast occurred on Monday evening around 7 PM near the Red Fort Metro Station, Gate No. 1, when an I20 car exploded with a powerful impact, killing 12 people and injuring over 25 others. Soon after the incident, Amit Shah personally visited the blast site to assess the situation and later went to LNJP Hospital to meet the injured victims and their families.

Delhi Witnesses Its Worst Attack in 15 Years

Security agencies confirmed that Delhi had not witnessed such a major terror incident in the last 15 years. The explosion has sent shockwaves through the capital, prompting heightened checks at all major religious places, metro stations, and government installations.

Officials stated that the pattern of the attack suggests a well-planned operation, and the explosives used appear to be military-grade. The NIA’s forensic team has already collected samples from the site for detailed analysis.
