Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to begin his two-day visit to Rajasthan from Friday. During his tour, he will participate in the Maheshwari Mahakumbh and Global Expo being held in Jodhpur, a major event of the Maheshwari community that is drawing national and international attention.
The three-day Maheshwari Mahakumbh, starting on January 9, will be formally inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. As per the official schedule, Amit Shah will arrive in Jodhpur late on Friday night and will take part in several social and organizational programs during his stay.
Participation in Maheshwari Convention and Global Expo
On Saturday around 11 am, the Home Minister will attend the Maheshwari Adhiveshan (convention) in Jodhpur. He will also visit the Global Expo, which is being organized alongside the Mahakumbh. The expo has attracted representatives from industry, trade, and investment sectors from India and abroad. Prominent personalities from the corporate and business world, along with members of the Maheshwari community, are expected to be present.
Visit to Jaipur
After completing his scheduled engagements in Jodhpur, Amit Shah will depart for Jaipur in the afternoon, where he is slated to attend a series of organizational and administrative meetings. In view of the Home Minister’s visit, the state administration and security agencies have completed all necessary preparations.
International Participation at Maheshwari Mahakumbh
The Maheshwari Mahakumbh, being organized from January 9 to 11, is witnessing participation on an unprecedented scale. Representatives from 33 countries are expected to attend the event. The Global Expo will run for all three days, ensuring participation from various sections of society, particularly from the fields of business, industry, and entrepreneurship.
Key Highlights of the Event
- 12 massive domes have been constructed for the event, each themed after one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
- An estimated 50,000+ participants are expected to attend.
- Members of the Maheshwari community from nearly 490 districts across India will reach Jodhpur.
- More than 230 hotels and dharamshalas in and around the city have been booked to accommodate visitors.
The Maheshwari Mahakumbh is being seen not only as a major social and cultural congregation but also as a significant platform for global networking, investment dialogue, and community empowerment.
