Akhlilesh Yadav Slams BJP Over SIR in UP: “Even Their Families Wouldn’t Vote for Them If Elections Were Fair

Lucknow, UP: Samajwadi Party national president Akhlilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP over the Systematic Intensive Review (SIR) process in Uttar Pradesh, following the Bihar elections. The former Chief Minister criticized the party for putting immense pressure on BLOs (Booth Level Officers), calling it inhuman and unjust.

BLOs Under Immense Stress
In a detailed post on X, Akhlilesh highlighted the unrealistic targets being imposed on BLOs, which is causing severe mental stress. He called the expectation that BLOs work like machines 24/7 “unimaginably cruel” and said that this pressure is part of a larger political scheme to manipulate election data.

BJP’s Actions Deprive Jobs and Peace
Akhlilesh accused the BJP government of not creating new jobs and making existing jobs increasingly difficult, forcing employees to resign. He said the current system has turned honest officers into victims of political exploitation, adding that BLOs are being unfairly held accountable for circumstances beyond their control.

SP Stands With BLOs
The SP chief urged BLOs not to take any extreme steps that could affect their families. He assured that the Samajwadi Party will continue to highlight their issues and fight for their rights. Akhlilesh warned that the BJP’s oppressive rule is nearing its end, stating, “Every cruel regime eventually meets its downfall. The public’s frustration has reached its peak, and fear-mongering cannot save them.”

Conclusion
Akhlilesh’s remarks underline the SP’s commitment to defending government employees against political exploitation while criticizing BJP’s administrative methods ahead of upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
