Funeral Proceedings
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s body was first brought from his residence in Kathewadi to Vidya Pratishthan Ground to allow citizens to pay homage. The cremation took place at 11:00 AM, with state officials announcing a one-day holiday in Mumbai to mark the occasion. Close family members, including his son Jay Pawar and nephew Rohit Pawar, were present.
Investigation Updates
The DGCA and forensic teams continue to investigate the crash site in Baramati. The cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder of the chartered plane have been recovered, as confirmed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The findings from these devices are expected to provide critical insights into the cause of the accident.
Political Reactions
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut raised serious questions regarding the crash, asking why previous incidents, such as the Ahmedabad plane crash, did not undergo thorough investigation. He emphasized that the public deserves clear answers regarding the tragic event.
Ajit Pawar’s sudden demise has left a significant void in Maharashtra’s political and administrative landscape, and the state continues to mourn the loss of one of its most prominent leaders.
