Jaipur: Following the appointment of Bihar veteran Nitin Nabeen as the new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 20 January, discussions have begun about his upcoming visits and the formation of his new team. Reports suggest that Nabeen may tour several states in the coming days, with Rajasthan being a likely stop ahead of the forthcoming Panchayat and municipal elections. During this visit, he is expected to address the BJP State Executive Committee.
During Nabeen’s formal induction in Delhi, key Rajasthan leaders including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, State President Madan Rathore, and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje were present. Along with congratulating Nabeen, they reportedly invited him to visit Rajasthan.
Sources indicate that Nabeen could arrive in the state by the end of this month. This comes at a time when the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly session is about to begin and budget preparations are underway. His visit ahead of the Panchayat elections is seen as a strategic move to strengthen party coordination and morale.
Key Rajasthan Leaders May Join Nabeen’s National Committee
Media reports suggest that Nitin Nabeen may include several prominent Rajasthan leaders in his new National Working Committee. Leaders likely to be considered include Satish Poonia, Sunil Bansal, C.P. Joshi, Rajendra Rathore, Rakhi Rathore, Alka Singh Gurjar, Ranjita Kohli, Laxmikant Bhardwaj, and Anita Bhadel. Their inclusion is expected to play a significant role in the party’s organizational strategy ahead of the elections.
