1. NIA Makes Further Arrests
- The Delhi court remanded Aamir Rashid Ali, associate of Red Fort blast driver Umar Mohammad (aka Umar ur Nabi), to 10 days of NIA custody.
- Another major suspect, Jaseer Bilal Wani (aka Danish) from Kashmir, was arrested from Srinagar.
- NIA confirms Aamir arranged the vehicle used in the blast, aimed at spreading fear among the public and targeting India’s unity and sovereignty.
2. Threats to Schools and Courts
- Delhi authorities received bomb threats targeting two schools and four district courts: Tis Hazari, Rohini, Patiala, and Saket.
- The threats reportedly came via an email attributed to Jaish-e-Mohammed, prompting heightened security measures across affected institutions.
3. Enforcement Directorate (ED) Raids
- ED has launched raids on Al-Falah University and 25 associated locations in Faridabad and Delhi.
- University founder and chairman Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, previously jailed in fraud cases, is under investigation for the source of funds used to establish the institution.
- ED is examining documents and financial records for potential links to terrorist funding.
