
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a weather warning, forecasting rainfall in three states within the next 12 hours, along with the possibility of strong winds and lightning. According to IMD, gusty winds may reach speeds of 30 to 50 kmph, and the rainfall is expected to cause a drop in temperature, intensifying cold conditions in several regions.
The department has advised residents and travelers, especially those heading towards hilly areas, to remain cautious as weather conditions may worsen in the coming days.
Rain Alert Issued for Three States
IMD has predicted heavy rainfall over the next 12 hours in the following regions:
- Jammu & Kashmir
- Ladakh
- Arunachal Pradesh
Along with rainfall, strong wind gusts are likely, which could create difficulties for commuters and farmers. Authorities have urged people to avoid unnecessary outdoor movement, particularly during thunderstorms. IMD also indicated that this weather system could increase cold conditions across northern India until February 16.
Dense Fog Warning in 25 Districts
Despite a gradual decline in winter intensity, moderate to dense fog is still expected to affect large parts of North India, reducing visibility during early morning hours.

Delhi is expected to witness clear skies with no chance of rainfall. However, a chilly morning is likely. Due to the absence of rain, pollution levels may rise again, with AQI crossing 200 in several areas.

Cloud cover may appear in the evening, but no rainfall is forecast.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Outlook
No major change is expected in Uttar Pradesh over the next 24 hours. However, cold mornings and dense fog will continue in several districts including Gorakhpur, Deoria, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Shamli, Bareilly, Bahraich, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Azamgarh, Ballia, and Mirzapur.

Bihar Weather Update
Bihar is expected to remain dry over the next 24 hours with no rainfall predicted. However, light to moderate fog may continue in multiple districts including Patna, Saran, Bhojpur, Buxar, Jehanabad, Gaya, East Champaran, West Champaran, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, and Bhagalpur.

Uttarakhand Forecast
Uttarakhand is likely to experience clear weather for now, but rainfall is expected between February 16 and February 18, with the possibility of snowfall in higher altitudes. Hailstorms may also occur in certain areas.

Madhya Pradesh Forecast
Madhya Pradesh will remain mostly dry until Monday. Light rain may occur in some areas from Tuesday, including:
