
Delhi-NCR continues to experience biting cold, and the chill is expected to intensify in the coming days across northern India. Recent snowfall in the hilly regions has contributed to the drop in temperatures.
According to the Meteorological Department, February 4 is likely to witness dense fog and severe cold in Delhi. A cold wave will sweep across Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other northern states. Upper regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may also experience snowfall.
Jammu & Kashmir:
Temperatures in Jammu & Kashmir have slightly improved. Srinagar recorded a minimum of 2.8°C at night, while Gulmarg Ski Resort experienced -5.3°C. Meteorologists noted that a weak western disturbance is active over the Union Territory, bringing cloud cover, rain, and snow to several areas.

Punjab and Haryana:
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for cloud cover and light to moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds over most parts of Punjab and Haryana. In Punjab, rainfall and hail over the past 36 hours have altered the weather conditions. Districts including Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, and Mohali may experience light to moderate showers in the next few hours. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 5–6°C, with maximums around 22°C.
Uttar Pradesh:
Rain and hail alerts have been issued for 25 districts, including the Agra and Moradabad divisions. Central UP may see intermittent drizzle along with thunder and lightning, while most districts are likely to experience dense fog.
Bihar:
The cold spell continues, with several districts shrouded in fog.
Citizens are advised to take precautions during the early morning and late evening hours due to fog and low temperatures, and stay updated with weather advisories.
