From January 6-7, regions in Eastern and Western Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and the Ganga plains of West Bengal may experience Severe Cold Days (Sheet Divas). Between January 7-10, a cold wave is likely to affect Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and parts of Chhattisgarh. In Jammu & Kashmir, the cold persists, with Srinagar recording a minimum of -4°C, Gulmarg -8.6°C, and Pahalgam -6.8°C. The IMD forecasts no major western disturbances until January 20, indicating limited chances of heavy snowfall in the region for the next two weeks.
