Business leader and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has praised the Indian Army’s elite Bhairav Battalion, calling it a symbol of courage, discipline, and modern warfare capabilities. Sharing a video of the battalion from the Republic Day Parade on social media, Mahindra lauded the unit for embodying the true spirit of victory.
Referring to the battalion as his highlight of the January 26 parade, Mahindra wrote, “The Bhairav Battalion reminds us that wars are not won merely by the power of weapons, but by the spirit of the warrior. If anyone ever considers taking them on, they should abandon the thought.”
His remarks quickly gained attention online, with many users echoing pride in the Indian Army’s growing technological and tactical strength.
Specialized Force for Hybrid Warfare
The Bhairav Battalion is a newly formed elite unit of the Indian Army, established during 2025–26, and trained specifically for hybrid warfare. The battalion specializes in drone‑based operations, electronic warfare, and counter‑surveillance missions.
According to military sources, the unit is highly skilled in drone reconnaissance, neutralizing electronic disruptions, and evading advanced AI‑enabled sensors. Soldiers of the battalion are known for operating with full camouflage or face paint to maintain stealth during missions.
Strategic Deployment Near Borders
Comprising around 250 highly trained soldiers, each equipped with advanced weaponry, the Bhairav Battalion is designed for rapid, precision‑based strikes. The unit is being strategically deployed near sensitive border areas, particularly along the China and Pakistan frontiers, to counter emerging security threats.
With its blend of cutting‑edge technology and exceptional human resolve, the Bhairav Battalion represents the Indian Army’s evolving approach to modern combat—where courage and capability go hand in hand.
