New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu has claimed that Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are involved in a serious disagreement. According to Bittu, Rahul Gandhi’s recent trip to Germany during the Winter Session of Parliament is a result of this familial and political discord.
Bittu Alleges “Heavy Fight” Between the Gandhis
In an interview shared by NDTV on X (formerly Twitter), Bittu stated, “There is a fight going on between the two Gandhis. A very serious fight. From what I have learned, Rahul Gandhi is upset over Priyanka Gandhi’s speeches in the House and has left due to problems within the family and the party.”
Publicly, They Defend Each Other
Despite Bittu’s claims, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are usually seen defending each other on political issues. Ahead of the Vande Mataram debate, Rahul reportedly asked media personnel, “Did you listen to Priyanka’s speech?” Similarly, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has consistently defended her brother against political attacks. Regarding Rahul’s Germany trip, she remarked, “Prime Minister Modi spends half of his time abroad. Why question the opposition leader’s travel?”
Rahul Gandhi’s Germany Visit
Rahul Gandhi is in Berlin from December 15–20 to participate in an Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) program. The event aims to strengthen the party’s global outreach and connect with Indian diaspora leaders across Europe. The Winter Session of Parliament concludes on December 19, which has led to further discussion about the timing of his foreign visit.
