“Together We Walk, Together We Grow”: Putin Echoes Modi’s Vision During India Visit

New Delhi, India: Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded his two-day visit to India, reaffirming the deep-rooted ties between Moscow and Delhi. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogan “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, Putin conveyed his own vision of partnership with the words “Together we walk, together we grow”, highlighting the spirit of long-standing cooperation between the two nations.

Speaking at a state banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Putin said:

“I know in India, you say ‘Together we walk, together we grow.’ These words perfectly reflect the spirit, character, and traditions of Russian-Indian relations. We will make every effort to ensure that our strategic partnership continues to strengthen and develop for the benefit of our peoples.”

Acknowledging India’s Hospitality and Historic Ties

Putin expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended by Indian leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi. He recalled the Soviet Union’s historic support in India’s industrial, infrastructure, and space initiatives, emphasizing the solid foundation of bilateral cooperation.

Highlighting the 15th anniversary of the special and privileged strategic partnership, Putin noted that it has elevated India-Russia relations to a new level, built on equality, mutual respect, and consideration of each other’s interests. He described his recent discussions with Indian counterparts as highly productive, pointing to a joint statement that outlined cooperation in politics, security, economy, transport, energy, education, and culture.

Global Cooperation and BRICS Agenda

Putin stressed that these agreements would give a new momentum to bilateral ties. He highlighted India and Russia’s shared efforts to promote a fair, multipolar international order rooted in the central role of the UN and the balance of interests among all members. Putin also referred to ongoing BRICS cooperation, noting that India will chair BRICS in 2026, and emphasized collaboration on other multilateral platforms to enhance security, trust, and peace across Eurasia and beyond.

This visit underscored the enduring friendship and strategic alignment between India and Russia, signaling a future of strengthened partnerships and shared global responsibilities.
