Terrifying Conspiracy to Break Northeast from India: China, Pakistan, and Bangladeshi Extremists Involved

Reports indicate that Pakistan is actively promoting anti-India activities in Bangladesh, with the larger aim of spreading unrest in Northeast India—a plan in which China is allegedly playing a significant role. The ultimate objective appears to be facilitating the entry of militant leaders into Bangladesh.

The Plot to Bring ULFA Chief to Bangladesh

Pakistan is reportedly trying to bring ULFA (United Liberation Front of Asom) leader Paresh Baruah into Bangladesh. Sources suggest that Pakistan hopes that extremist groups like Jamaat-e-Islami, which it is supporting in the upcoming Bangladeshi elections, will assist in executing anti-India operations. Recently, a Bangladeshi extremist student leader even threatened to “separate the Seven Sisters”, prompting India’s Ministry of External Affairs to summon Bangladesh High Commissioner Riyaz Hamidullah and demand stringent action against such forces.

According to reports by ET, Pakistani agencies are attempting to establish Paresh Baruah in Dhaka, with the alleged support of the ISI and Pakistani military, as well as groups led by Asim Munir. These organizations aim to provide shelter to anti-India militants and separatist leaders from Northeast India, including Baruah himself.

Pakistan Reviving Old Plans

Pakistan reportedly believes that if its favored government is elected in Bangladesh in February, it will become easier to operate anti-India militant networks from Dhaka. Experts familiar with Bangladesh’s political landscape note that similar strategies were previously attempted during the rule of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami.

China’s Alleged Involvement

Paresh Baruah is accused of involvement in a 2004 attempt to transport 10 trucks of weapons into Bangladesh via Chattogram, which was foiled. Earlier reports suggest that China assisted Baruah in moving from Ruili to Shishangbanna Dai, both located in China’s Yunnan Province, with Ruili near the Arunachal Pradesh–Myanmar border.

Rising Influence of Pakistan-Supported Extremists in Bangladesh

Amidst alleged student movements in Bangladesh, extremist forces are reportedly trying to undermine the government of Sheikh Hasina. Jamaat, historically seen as a puppet of Pakistan, is believed to be a key player behind anti-India agendas. Recently, student leaders have issued provocative anti-India statements, further fueling concerns.

Threats to Northeast India

Among those making anti-India statements in Bangladesh is Hasnat Abdullah of the Bangladesh National Citizen Party, who during a rally declared that anti-India forces would be sheltered in Bangladesh and threatened to “separate the Seven Sisters”—a reference to the seven northeastern states of India. This is not the first time such threats have emerged since the current government under Yunus came to power; earlier, similar intentions were hinted at regarding India’s “Chicken’s Neck” region.
