Stage Set for India AI Impact Expo 2026: PM Modi to Inaugurate Mega AI Event Today, Experts Arriving from 13 Nations

New Delhi: The stage is set for one of India’s biggest technology events as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 today at 5 PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The five-day mega event will continue till February 20 and is expected to showcase the practical and transformative applications of Artificial Intelligence across sectors.

Organised alongside the India AI Impact Summit, the expo aims to serve as a national platform for innovation, policymaking and technological advancement, with a strong focus on making AI solutions accessible and beneficial to the common citizen.

Expo Spread Across 10 Arenas Over 70,000 Sq Metres

The AI expo will be hosted across 10 dedicated arenas, covering an area of more than 70,000 square metres. It will bring together global technology companies, startups, academic institutions, central ministries, state governments and international partners under one roof.

The event is expected to emerge as a key hub for showcasing AI-driven governance models, next-generation innovations and emerging commercial opportunities.

13 International Pavilions to Feature Global Participation

A major highlight of the expo will be the presence of 13 country pavilions, representing global AI collaboration. Countries participating include Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan and Africa.

This international presence reflects India’s growing relevance as a key player in the global AI ecosystem.

Over 300 Exhibitions and 600+ Startups to Showcase AI Solutions

The India AI Impact Expo will feature more than 300 exhibition stalls and live demonstrations, built around three key themes — People, Planet and Progress.

Additionally, the event will witness participation from over 600 startups, many of which are developing globally impactful AI-based solutions. These startups are expected to present real-world applications of AI that are already being used in industries and public services.

500+ Sessions, 3,250 Experts to Participate

The organisers expect participation of over 25 lakh visitors, including international delegates. The primary objective of the expo is to build new partnerships within the global AI ecosystem and generate fresh business opportunities.

More than 500 sessions will be conducted during the event, featuring a panel of over 3,250 experts and speakers. These sessions will focus on AI’s transformative role, future strategies and policy frameworks to ensure that the benefits of AI reach every citizen.

French President Emmanuel Macron to Attend with First Lady

Highlighting the significance of the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron is set to visit India along with his wife Brigitte Macron to attend the India AI Impact Summit. He is expected to arrive in India late Monday night and participate in the summit on February 19.

AI at the Centre of India’s Development Vision

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly being viewed as a critical tool for strengthening governance, improving public service delivery and supporting inclusive growth at scale. With India’s linguistic and cultural diversity, the country is uniquely positioned to develop multi-language and multi-model AI systems tailored to diverse needs.

The event aligns closely with India’s broader vision of achieving a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047, reinforcing the government’s focus on leveraging advanced technology for national progress.
