
New Delhi: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convened a parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday to discuss the Union Budget 2026 and the government’s long-term vision for a developed India by 2047. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally shared updates from the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), posting photos along with the caption: “Participated in the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting where we discussed several important issues. Here are some glimpses…”
The meeting was held at the Parliament Library Building in New Delhi. On arrival, PM Modi was felicitated for India’s recent trade deal with the United States, following a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Monday. This marked India’s second trade agreement in the past ten days. Responding to the greetings, PM Modi smiled and waved in acknowledgment.
Senior NDA leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, newly elected BJP President Nitin Naveen, and other ministers and MPs attended the session. Leaders congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful trade agreements, and also welcomed Nitin Naveen warmly.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented key highlights of the Budget 2026 and explained how it aligns with the government’s roadmap toward a developed India by 2047. Guidelines were also discussed to ensure effective communication of the Budget’s benefits to the public. The session included a detailed roadmap to support implementation and outreach.
