The discussions addressed various initiatives to further strengthen this enduring partnership.
- Strategic Ties and Historical Context: Welcoming President Putin, Modi recalled that the foundation of the strategic partnership was laid 25 years ago and expressed satisfaction over the continuing high-level engagement through the 23rd India–Russia bilateral summit.
- Special Privileged Strategic Partnership: Modi noted that in 2010, the relationship was elevated to a “Special Privileged Strategic Partnership”, with President Putin’s leadership and vision continuously nurturing bilateral ties. Modi expressed gratitude for Putin’s steadfast friendship and unwavering dedication to India over the past 25 years.
