New Delhi: Following setbacks in Operation Sindoor, top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Abu Musa Kashmiri has issued incendiary threats against India and the Hindu community. Speaking at a gathering near Rawalkot, he openly called for the massacre of Hindus, declaring, “Freedom will not come by begging, but by cutting the throats of Hindus.”
Calls for Violence Amid Rising Tensions
Abu Musa Kashmiri delivered the hate-filled speech in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, urging the use of jihad and terrorism as the solution to the Kashmir issue. The statement, made in Hajra Tehsil near the Line of Control (LoC), reflects LeT’s desire to avenge losses suffered during Operation Sindoor.
Pattern of Provocative Statements Before Attacks
Intelligence agencies have raised alerts following this speech, noting a pattern in which LeT commanders issue incendiary warnings prior to major attacks. Abu Musa had previously made similar statements before the Pahalgam attack, in which tourists were selectively targeted and killed based on their religion.
LeT Commanders Convene in Bahawalpur
The release of Abu Musa’s video coincides with sightings of other top LeT commanders in Bahawalpur. These developments appear to align with statements made by Pakistan’s army leadership, raising further concerns about cross-border terrorist activities.
India’s Response: Operation Sindoor
In retaliation for the Pahalgam attack, Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor. Nine terrorist camps in Pakistan—located near Lahore’s Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir—were destroyed. The Indian military initially refrained from targeting civilian or military installations across the border. Subsequent operations damaged 11 Pakistani military facilities without crossing the international boundary.
Security Alert and Vigilance
Authorities continue to monitor potential threats, as LeT’s recent statements indicate a heightened risk of terror attacks. Intelligence agencies are on high alert to prevent any recurrence of violence targeting civilians in India.
