
New Delhi: The much-anticipated India AI Impact Summit 2026 kicks off today at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to inaugurate the event at 5 PM. The summit features special pavilions representing 13 countries, highlighting India’s growing role in the global AI ecosystem.
Ahead of the inauguration, PM Modi shared a global message on social media platform X, emphasizing the summit’s unifying purpose. He wrote, “Bringing the world together to discuss AI! Starting today, India is hosting the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. I warmly welcome leaders, industry captains, innovators, policymakers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts from around the world. The theme of the summit is ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay’—welfare for all, happiness for all—which reflects our shared commitment to using artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.”
AI as a Transformative Force
PM Modi highlighted AI’s transformative impact across sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance, and enterprise. He noted that the summit would foster global dialogue on innovation, collaboration, and responsible use of AI. “I am confident the outcomes of the summit will help create a future that is progressive, innovative, and opportunity-driven,” he added.
India Leading the AI Revolution
Addressing India’s potential in AI, the Prime Minister said, “With a population of 1.4 billion, our country is at the forefront of AI-driven change. From digital public infrastructure to a vibrant startup ecosystem and cutting-edge research, India’s progress in AI demonstrates both ambition and responsibility.”
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is expected to serve as a global platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and shaping AI policies that prioritize inclusivity and societal welfare, positioning India as a key player in the international AI landscape.
