
The birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was celebrated as National Unity Day across the country. To mark this occasion, the Indore Police Commissionerate organized a marathon themed “Run for Unity” to promote the message of national integration, harmony, and brotherhood.
The run commenced from Nehru Stadium early Friday morning and passed through key city points including GPO Square, Chhawani Square, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Statue (Chhoti Gwaltoli), Madhumilan Square, Shivaji Vatika Square, and SBI Bank T, before culminating back at Nehru Stadium. The event was aimed at inspiring citizens with Sardar Patel’s ideals and reaffirming the pledge of unity and integrity of the nation.
The Government of Madhya Pradesh appointed Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat as the Chief Guest for the event in Indore. Under his dynamic leadership, the “Run for Unity” witnessed remarkable participation and enthusiasm from citizens.
A large number of participants, including public representatives, officials, students, and members of the police force, joined the marathon, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic energy and collective spirit.
Distinguished dignitaries present at the event included Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, MLA Shri Madhu Verma, Shri Mahendra Hardia, and Shri Sumit Mishra, among others.
The successful organization of the “Run for Unity” in Indore stood as a vibrant symbol of India’s unwavering commitment to unity in diversity, echoing Sardar Patel’s timeless vision of a strong and united nation.
