Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced a cash reward of ₹1 crore for Kranti Gaur, the talented all-rounder from Ghuwara, Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, for her outstanding contribution to India’s historic victory in the ICC Women’s One Day World Cup 2025.
Dr. Yadav said that the Indian women’s cricket team, under the inspirational guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, created history on Sunday night by lifting the ICC Women’s World Cup trophy for the first time ever — a moment that will be remembered as a milestone in Indian sports.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this victory reflects India’s growing sporting excellence as well as the success of Madhya Pradesh’s progressive sports promotion policies, which have enabled many young athletes to achieve international recognition.
He stated, “Our daughters are scripting new chapters of success across the world. The Indian women’s cricket team’s historic triumph is a source of immense pride for every Indian. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all players and citizens on this glorious occasion.”
Speaking to the media after inaugurating the MP Power Management Company’s new building and launching the Samadhan Scheme, Dr. Yadav praised Kranti Gaur’s performance, saying her contribution was pivotal in India’s championship journey.
Kranti Gaur’s all-round performance was particularly noteworthy in the group-stage match against Pakistan, where she took three key wickets and was named Player of the Match.
A true daughter of Bundelkhand, Kranti has consistently showcased her talent in domestic cricket, the Women’s Premier League (WPL), and now on the international stage, earning admiration for her determination and skill. The youngest among six siblings, her inspiring journey from a small town to global glory stands as a shining example of Madhya Pradesh’s emerging sports power and the unstoppable spirit of India’s daughters.
