Indore to Honor 15 Senior and 40 Young Hockey Players on Historic Occasion

Indore: In a landmark celebration, the Shri Geeta Rameshwaram Trust will honor 15 senior and 40 young hockey players on 7th November to mark 100 years of the formation of the Indian Hockey Federation. The national federation was officially established on 7th November 1925 in Gwalior, laying the foundation for India’s rise as a global hockey powerhouse.

On this historic occasion, senior players to be honored include Ashok Kumar Yadav, D.K. Tiwari, Sarwar Khan, Manju Sankat, Buddharam Yadav, Mohansingh Dikhit, Poonamchand Yadav, Rajkumar Yadav, Ujagar Singh, Babulal Yadav, Satish Gupta, Ramnarayan Agrawal, Shubharanjan Chatterjee, O.P. Parikh, among others. Additionally, 40 promising young hockey players from the city will also receive recognition for their talent and contribution to the sport.

The event was announced by the Trust President Vinod Satyanarayan Patel, along with Madan Parmalia and Coordinator Advocate Santosh Yadav. They highlighted that this is the first-ever initiative in Indore to promote hockey and honor players who have contributed to the game.

The honor ceremony will take place at Indian Hockey House Auditorium, Police Superintendent Campus, Regal Chauraha, Indore, starting at 10:30 AM on 7th November. The Trust aims to revive the city’s hockey spirit and inspire young athletes through this recognition.
