Government Employee Suspended for Negligence in Official Duties

Indore, November 3, 2025:
Collector Shivam Verma has suspended a government employee for negligence and misconduct in official duties. Jitendra Chauhan, Assistant Grade-II, has been placed under suspension with immediate effect following a departmental inquiry.

According to official sources, an inquiry was initiated based on a complaint received against Chauhan. The investigation revealed that while serving as District Nazir under the then Election Observer, Jitendra Chauhan, without seeking approval from the Deputy District Election Officer, had issued an unauthorized order transferring Jitendra Solanki, a gardener (Horticulture Department) from the Indore Municipal Corporation, to the District Election Office (Nazarat Branch).

Later, after Chauhan’s transfer from the District Nazarat Branch to Tehsil Sanwer, he once again issued orders independently, without the approval of his supervising officer, to release Jitendra Solanki from the Nazarat Branch back to his parent department.

The inquiry concluded that Chauhan acted arbitrarily and in violation of administrative protocol, displaying carelessness and misuse of authority in the execution of his duties.

In view of this misconduct, Collector Verma ordered his immediate suspension. During the suspension period, Chauhan’s headquarters will remain at Tehsil Office Kanadia, and a departmental investigation has been initiated against him.
