Employment Fair Organized in Indore to Provide Job and Self-Employment Opportunities for Youth

In line with the directives of the Government of Madhya Pradesh and the District Administration, a one-day employment fair (Yuva Sangam Program) was organized on Monday by the District Employment Office, Indore, at the District Industries Center premises, Polo Ground, Indore. The event aimed to provide a common platform for unemployed youth to access both employment and self-employment opportunities under one roof.

A total of 16 reputed companies participated in the fair, offering over 400 vacancies across various sectors. Company representatives conducted on-the-spot interviews and made preliminary selections for employment and apprenticeship positions.

According to Deputy Director of Employment, Shri P.S. Mandloi, a total of 269 candidates (225 male and 44 female) registered for the event. Out of these, 158 candidates (127 male and 31 female) were shortlisted for various positions including Pharmacist, HR Executive, Sales Executive, Digital Marketing Specialist, Telecaller, Back Office Assistant, Trainee, Fitter, Welder, Electrician, COPA Operator, Turner, and Machine Operator.

Prominent companies such as Just Dial, D-Mart, MedPlus India, Coderwing, Blinkit, Patel Motors, Global Health, Rapido, Shubh Sankalp, and Shobha Construction participated in the fair, extending numerous job opportunities to the local youth.

In addition to employment, the District Industries Center team guided 17 self-employment aspirants by providing detailed information about various government self-employment schemes and encouraging them to prepare proposals for financial assistance. Under the Government Apprenticeship Scheme, 9 candidates were selected and placed with participating companies.

As part of the Yuva Sangam initiative, 49 applicants underwent health checkups and received ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) cards. Counselors from Umang Health Clinic provided guidance and mental health counseling during the event.

The employment fair concluded successfully with the active support and coordination of officers and staff from the Employment Department, ITI, and District Industries Center. The department extended gratitude to all participating organizations and departments for their valuable contribution to the successful execution of the program.
