Cold Winds Intensify Winter Chill Across Rajasthan, Day Temperature Drops by Up to 7°C — Read the Latest Weather Update

Rajasthan Weather Update:
Cold winds sweeping across Rajasthan have intensified the winter chill, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures. The day temperature in several parts of the state has fallen by up to 7 degrees Celsius, indicating that winter is setting in faster than expected.

Sharp Temperature Drop After Rainfall
After two days of rain, cold conditions have gripped most parts of Rajasthan. On Tuesday, the day temperature recorded a sharp fall — up to 7.2°C in some areas — leading to a sudden rise in the cold effect. While the night temperature showed little change, cold winds blowing from the northern hilly regions have caused the daytime temperature to plunge significantly.
According to the Meteorological Department, the chill is likely to increase further in the coming days.

Why the Cold Intensified
On Tuesday, November 5, cold winds swept through the state, causing a steep drop in daytime temperatures. Sirohi recorded the highest fall of 7.2°C, bringing the day temperature down to 23.5°C. In Dausa, Karauli, and Jhunjhunu, the drop was over 5°C, while in Jaipur, temperatures dipped by 4.8°C.
The day temperatures remained below 30°C across major cities including Jaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Pali, Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Pratapgarh, Kota, and Anta Baran.
Due to the cold winds, the maximum temperature in several districts fell below normal levels — Ajmer being 4.3°C below normal, and Jaipur recording 28.0°C, which is 3.8°C below average. Meteorologists predict a further decline in temperatures across multiple regions in the coming days.
