CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Launches ‘Samadhan Yojana’; Aims to Light Every Home and Empower Every Citizen

Jabalpur, November 3, 2025:**
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the state’s ambitious “Samadhan Yojana”, a major relief initiative for electricity consumers, reaffirming the government’s commitment to its vision — “Light for All, Progress for All.” The scheme will benefit over 90 lakh consumers, providing up to 100% waiver on surcharges for those unable to pay their power bills on time.

Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Yadav said, “This initiative opens the door of relief for households, farmers, and industries that have been unable to clear their electricity dues. It strengthens both public trust and transparency in governance.”

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed building of the MP Power Management Company, stating that the modern facility will enhance operational efficiency, coordination, and service delivery across the state’s power sector.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to farmers, Dr. Yadav announced that over 35 lakh farmers received more than ₹18,000 crore in electricity subsidies in 2024–25, and the government remains dedicated to providing 10 hours of uninterrupted power for irrigation.

He emphasized that the state aims to derive 50% of its total energy consumption from renewable sources by 2030, with significant capacity in solar (62 GW), wind (11 GW), biomass (4 GW), and small hydro (820 MW). He also noted that the solar-plus-storage project in Morena has achieved a record low tariff of ₹2.70 per unit, marking a new milestone in India’s clean energy sector.

Dr. Yadav lauded the timing of the initiative, saying, “It is auspicious that the Samadhan Yojana is being launched during the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day celebrations. It reflects our resolve for inclusive growth and good governance.”

During the event, Dr. Yadav also announced a ₹1 crore incentive for state-level all-rounder women cricketer Kranti Gaur, encouraging women’s participation in sports.
